Too Many Jobs, Not Enough Workers, Expert Says

According to the June 2019 JOLTS report, not only is the candidate supply down and labor demand increasing, but the quit rate is up, as well—and this should come as no surprise given the favorable position the job market puts jobseekers in. This is a recipe for concern for employers that are trying to attract and retain top talent.

To put the lack of candidates into perspective, Andrew Neskow, Director of job boards and Contractors on Billing (COB) growth at Addison Group, highlights that even if you were to place all unemployed people back to work (felons, criminal records, no educational degree, no industry experience, etc.), you still couldn’t fill all of the job openings in this country!
