Creating Dignified Workplaces Requires True Introspection

Recent research asked employers if they believed their employees are treated with dignity and respect. Eighty-one percent said they did. Then, employees were asked if they are treated with dignity and respect. Only 65% said they were treated in such a way. The difference between those two perspectives tells quite the tale.

The research relies on two separate surveys that were conducted by Willis Towers Watson and sought to understand the importance and nature of dignity in the workplace from the perspectives of leaders and employees. The first, called The Willis Towers Watson Workplace dignity Survey, was aimed at executives. The second, called The Willis Towers Watson 2019/2020 Global Benefits Attitudes Survey, was aimed at employees.
