How Does SMVDU’s Skill Program Empower Unemployed Youth for Success?

At the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Skill Hub Centre, an impactful initiative titled ‘Basic Soft Skills for Unemployed Youth’ has taken root, marking its inaugural event with much anticipation. The program, which is a part of SMVDU’s University Social Responsibility (USR), is a dedicated two-month training curriculum aimed at enhancing employability and fostering personal growth among local unemployed individuals who have at least a 10th-grade education. Distinguished attendees such as Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar of SMVDU, Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Yatheshth Anand, Head of the School of Mechanical Engineering, accentuated the pivotal role that skill development plays in uplifting the local community during the ceremony.

Under the insightful oversight of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar, the initiative shines as a testament to SMVDU’s commitment to youth empowerment and societal advancement. Professor Kumar expressed optimism that the program would significantly elevate the participants’ career prospects and personal development. According to Dr. Sanjay Sharma, the program coordinator, the effort aligns with the ongoing community service ventures upheld by the university. As the formalities of the ceremony concluded, Er.
