We’re living in one of the toughest times for hiring right now, with the unemployment rate below 5 percent, and a record number of job openings in the U.S.
While most companies are struggling with hiring, taking a record number of days to fill positions, some are doing just fine. Southwest Airlines, for instance, still gets 2 applicants a second in an industry where hiring is not easy. In 2015 they had the luxury of being able to hire just 2 percent of all applicants, meaning they get to pick the very best.
Clearly, great hiring is possible, even in this climate. So how can you rock hiring now?
